Prestone Tynsong

National Vice-president & Hon Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya



Member of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, representing the Pynursla Assembly Constituency, Prestone Tynsong is the current Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya. He was elected from the Lyngkyrdem Assembly Constituency in 2003 and 2008 on Indian National Congress ticket and then he shifted his seat to Pynursla Assembly Constituency in 2013. In 2017, he quit the Indian National Congress to join the National People's Party. He is a seasoned politician with vast experience in administration both within the party as well as in the government and currently serves as the National Vice President of the National People's Party.
